With gas prices at $4.10 and counting, a lot of attention has turned to alternative fuels. Some of the popular alternatives are Compressed Natural Gas, Ethanol, Electric, and Hybrid-Electric vehicles.
The goal of this blog is to inform the public on these widely varying and increasingly viable alternatives to petroleum. As gas prices keep soaring, those who are smart will be able to decrease and even eliminate their personal dependence on foreign oil and drive smarter, cleaner, and cheaper.
First, let me admit my bias. I run an alternative fuels conversion company in Utah but expanding nationwide. I have personally elected Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as my fuel of choice, simply because it is by far the most economical alternative for me in Utah. People in other parts of the country and world may find other alternatives to be more viable. Nevertheless, the goal of this blog is to provide neutral, constructive, and especially useful information about all alternative fuels to help move our nation off of foreign oil.
I welcome all comments, suggestions, and feedback. If you would like an entry on a particular topic, please shoot me a message, and I will try to research and post on it as quickly and as effectively as I can. As for now, I am just stoked about paying 63.5 cents per gallon of fuel.
